Bear Lake in October | An Itinerary

It’s October in Bear Lake, which means fall is in full swing. With fewer crowds and vibrant, crisp weather, it’s an ideal time to enjoy the activities and attractions you love. Did we forget to mention the captivating fall foliage? October in Bear Lake just wouldn’t be the same without those inviting, rich colors.

Day 1

11 am
Take your time arriving, but once you’re here, make a beeline for Crawford Trough for a fantastic Bear Lake lunch. They serve delicious burgers, fries, and shakes. To be honest, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Grab your order to go, and enjoy it at nearby Randolph City Park.

12 pm
After lunch, head up Laketown Canyon for the scenery and to delight in fall leaf hunting. See how many different colors and kinds you can spot!

2 pm
Great work leaf hunting! Now make your way to Garden City, hit the marina, rent a boat, and get out on the water for a few hours of lake play.

5 pm
Arrive at Cooper’s Restaurant and Sports Bar for a well-deserved dinner. Cooper’s is family-owned and operated. You’ll love the food, and the views of Bear Lake are incredible.

6:30 pm
Time for a quick round of golf before sunset! Pop over to Bear Lake West Golf Course for nine picturesque holes right above the lake. No sticks? No problem. Bear Lake West has rental clubs and everything else you need for an enjoyable round.

7:30 pm
Ice cream after golfing above the lake takes dessert to the next level. Bear Lake Chevron has the goods in its in-store shake shop.

8 pm
Drive to the Beaver Creek Lodge, check-in, and relax.

10 pm
Hit the hay so you can rise early to make the most of your final Bear Lake day.
