Features:
The trail heads straight up the canyon, into the Caribou-Cache National Forest. At the top of the trail is Bloomington lake, a glacier-fed mountain lake surrounded by limestone cliffs. Nearby Big Spruce was the oldest living Engleman Spruce in the area at 100 feet tall and 75 inches in diameter; unfortunately it was blown down by a microburst in the late 1990’s.
