I like calling it a little piece of heaven! When you visit Bear Lake Valley it really leaves an imprint in our hearts. You will find that you will want to come back time and time again! Each time you visit… You will always find something new! I have been in the Valley for 10 years, and even now I learn something new every day! Anyway, enough of me! Let’s start this adventure! This month was Quite fun! I went and saw some AMAZING places that I know you will want to visit!
So, First things first! Stopped and got a fabulous Raspberry Shake! Cause you can’t road trip and not get a yummy treat! Haven’t tried one? Well do! You won’t regret it!
Packed up my camera and off I went! Okay, lets talk about the Beautiful Bear Lake! Yes…. I know that’s so popular and talked about a lot but from my perspective I’ll show you more you may not know! I went to North Beach State Park! The weather was warm and gorgeous! Watched the beautiful American White Pelican! During the breeding season, both males and females develop a pronounced bump on the top of their large beaks. This conspicuous growth is shed by the end of the breeding season. Which as you can tell the one in the photo still has his huge bump on his beak! I also saw males and females lined up at the North Beach! Both help incubate the eggs til they are ready to hatch! Take your family out to see the action! Please be mindful of not approaching wildlife! But please do watch and enjoy! Bring your spotting scopes and binoculars to see the Pelicans protecting their eggs!
Also, the scenery was breath taking! Nice beautiful breeze, so fresh! Go on a nice clear day! Take a ride around the lake! You can get some incredible shots! I took some panoramic photos. Really loved the reflection in the water! Need this one printed in my home! I love how the colors of the water are always changing! You never know when the water is going to change colors. At times I have seen the water a foggy white color, aqua with hints of yellow, I have seen it royal blue. It never disappoints! Oh, and enjoy the beaches anytime! Shoulder season is quiet. Perfect for a Zen experience. Bring a yoga mat, do your morning exercise on the beach, or bring your family and make sandcastles! You can enjoy the water. It has been great. Went in knee length!
Next stop! An adorable small town. Paris, Idaho!
I stopped and found some old historical buildings! The Paris Tabernacle which they do fun free tours starting Memorial Day Weekend! Make sure you stop and see the interior! Looks like a upside down boat! Super cool Architecture. Also went and saw the Sleight Cabin, Paris Hotel, Bear Lake Hermitage to name a few! This small town is surely to please you if you love historical landmarks! Here is some fun photo from Paris, Idaho!
The fun doesn’t stop here! I am making my way all through Bear Lake Valley! Where will I go next? Well it’s a surprise! Keep following me as I take adventures through the Valley! I want you all to get the full experience of this incredible place we call home!
